Triceps Extension, Triceps Pressdown, Biceps Curl, and Low Row Cable Attachment
The FitBar Triceps Extension Ball Grip can be used for building triceps, biceps, and other upper body muscles. Its constructed of two 3” thermoplastic balls that have a molded-in grip surface for the ultimate cable machine attachment grip. The unique design allows close grip, neutral grip hand position (palms facing each other) when using a cable machine. The integral spring clip allows for quick attachment to your cable machine cable or cable pulley system, and it is free to rotate, so your hands can rotate through the exercise extension and contraction. This makes our Triceps Extension Balls Grip one of the most versatile cable machine attachments on the market. Here’s just a few of things you can do with this exercise attachment.
Triceps Pressdown
Using a cable machine with lat pulldown capability, or our FP-3 Lat Pulldown Cable Pulley, and standing a foot or two from the pulley, you can perform triceps pressdowns / triceps pushdowns with ease. The ball surface, with its large surface area, provides an ergonomic grip for the entirety of the exercise. This arrangement allows you to keep your elbows stationary forcing your triceps to do all the work.
Overhead triceps extension
Executing triceps extensions is similar to the execution of the triceps pressdown, except you need your cable machine pulley attachment point to be low. The FP-4 Cable Row Pulley can be used to create a low pulley point on your squat rack or rig. Again, just stand a few feet from the cable machine, keep your elbows stationary overhead, and extend and contract just as you would with a triceps extension rope.
Biceps Curl
Using a low pulley point, you can use the Triceps Extension Ball Grip for cable machine biceps curls. These will be similar to doing cable pulley curls with a T-bar, except your hands will have a neutral grip as opposed to an underhand grip. The ball grip rotates freely through the move, resulting in an intense biceps workout.
Low Row
You can use the Triceps Extension Ball Grip like a triangle handle / double D handle for doing low rows. The ball grip provides a variation that works your grip strength and forearms, in addition to your core and back muscles typically worked in a cable machine low row.
