Spartan Athlete and Race Team Member
 

We at FitBar stay closely aligned with obstacle course race (OCR) athletes of all levels. Many have provided valuable feedback when demoing product at Spartan Race, Savage Race and other OCR events. In late 2019 we started a FitBar Race Team with members who have been supporting FitBar since the early days. We also have a network of ambassadors who help educate people about our obstacle course training equipment. We have a brief outline of the FitBar Race Team members below.

Freya Dittrich - Spartan Athlete

Freya is a Spartan SGX coach, a Spartan Obstacle Specialist, mother of 4, an ER doctor, and highly competitive obstacle course athlete. In other words, she is super woman! She has been running OCRs since 2014 and has competed in over 50 OCR events. A few highlights include:

  • She and her cousins competed on NBC’s Spartan Ultimate Team Challenge in 2015

  • She’s completed 9 Spartan Trifectas (2 singles, 2 doubles, 1 5x trifecta)

  • She coaches at Bad Mikey’s gym in Manhopac, NY

  • She and her kids recently started competing in Ninja Competitions!

  • She is a member of the FitBar Race Team and is a FitBar Ambassador

In 2019 alone, she completed in 23 Spartan Races, and was on the age group winner’s podium 19 times!! She also had a PR at the NYC half marathon. We are excited to have Freya as part of the FitBar team. She not only has the tenacity and grip consistent with the FitBar brand, but she has provided valuable inputs into the products themselves. Freya will be wearing the FitBar Race Team shirt at many Spartan races and events in 2020. Bill Seaton – OCR Master

Bill is nothing less than a physical freak of nature. At age 49, Bill regularly trains at a sub 7-minute running pace. We haven’t tested him but we are pretty sure he has less than 5% body fat. Bill typically podiums, most recently taking first place in his age group in the Spartan Central Florida Sprint in December 2019. Highlights include:

  • Competed in 14 Savage Races with 3 Gold, 5 silver and 2 bronze in Master’s age group

  • Competed in 5 Spartan Races with 1 Gold and 1 Silver in age group

  • Competed in 8 Mud Endeavor OCR Races with 4 first place, 1 second place in AG, 2 2nd place OVERALL

 

Kevin Stephens – Advanced OCR Workouts

Kevin pushes his workouts to the limit, and comes up with innovative obstacle training tools and regimens on his own, hence his Instagram moniker Advanced OCR. And he is fast: Kevin completed a marathon in 2019 without training for it in 3:45, 70% faster than the male runners in his age group.

Kevin is our go-to evaluator for OCR and Ninja Warrior product prototype evaluations, and has a strong engineering and manufacturing background. Kevin typically podiums in his age group at Spartan Races, and can typically be found hanging out at the Ninja course gyms in Orlando when not racing, training, or working as an aerospace engineer.

Kevin just got into fitness in 2017. In just two years he has transformed his life to one of not just physical strength and appearance, but one of confidence.

 

David Hutchinson – Savage Hutch

Hutch is the youngest member of the FitBar team. He competes in Florida OCR events in between classes in school, and was featured on the American Ninja Warrior Season 11 TV show. He also competes in Ninja Warrior Competitions and spends a lot of weekends at the Jungle Gym Ninja facility in Tampa. At age 19 Hutch has already competed in 14 races, with 6 savage Race first places, and 2 Savage Blitz first places in age group. We expect Hutch to grow both personally and athletically as the 2021 OCR race season progresses. He did have a very cool video created at the Fall Savage Race - check it out!
