We at System Fitness LLC, the owners of the FitBar fitness brand and this website, take your privacy seriously. We utilize the Squarespace platform to host our website and maintain / administer our emailing list. Squarespace is a top web-builder service that utilizes the latest in technologies to ensure data is secure. We do collect information via cookies and other technologies to make your experience better, for instance when you add an item to your cart, leave the website, and then come back, the item will be saved in your cart. We collect information to improve the user website experience. We use cookies via the Squarespace platform to help facilitate that information. Below is an example of the more common cookies developed by Squarespace:
CART: Shows when a visitor adds a product to their cart, 2 weeks
hasCart: Tells Squarespace that the visitor has a cart, 2 weeks
SiteUserInfo: Identifies a visitor who logs into a customer account, 3 years
SiteUserSecureAuthToken: Authenticates a visitor who logs into a customer account, 3 years
ss_cpvisit: Identifies unique visitors and tracks a visitor’s sessions on a site, 2 years

Additionally, we use what’s known as the Facebook Pixel which stores user preferences and information related to site usage. This data is NEVER shared by System Fitness LLC with anyone. Additionally, NO personally identifiable information (PII) associated with this data is accessed by System Fitness LLC. Email List, Account Creation, and Ecommerce
When you join our email list, create an account, or purchase a product you input information into our website. This data is retained on the Squarespace platform, and is not stored by System Fitness LLC elsewhere. The exception is shipping information associated with a purchase. We utilize a top shipping platform that allows us to get the best shipping rates and to streamline our fulfillment process. Only the information required for shipping your product is ported out to that platform. They do not use the information for any other reason.

European Site Users
Site users from the European Union are protected under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Facebook, Google, and Squarespace have policies in place to comply with this regulation, and it is available in their respective privacy policies. Information Use
We use cookie data for website analytics so we can analyze behavior on the website and improve the user experience. We also use the cookies to track the cart abandonment rate. In this instance we use a feature in Squarespace that sends out a one-time reminder via email of the items you placed in your cart. You have the option of opting out of future such emails.
Based on the data collected by Facebook and Google cookies, we may choose to utilize their respective services for the marketing of relevant products to you. For instance, if you added an item to your cart, but did not proceed with checkout, you may see an ad for that FitBar product at a later date, if we chose to execute a paid marketing campaign to users who executed that type of activity. These are part of the marketing tools that System Fitness LLC sometimes uses to grow the business, and if you have issue with this, please clear all the cookies from your browser.
