Ab Wheels for Core Strength
The FP-6.3 Ab Wheels take you core workouts and bodyweight strength training to the next level. Unlike traditional ab wheels, which utilize a single wheel, the FitBar Ab Wheels require the user to stabilize both hands during your movements. Ab wheels engage your core, including your obliques, abdominal muscles, torso / back, and shoulders. Exercises with the ab wheels are easy and varied, including a traditional straight ab wheel roll / extension with the handles parallel, as well as an advanced move with the arms spreading during rollout for an intense shoulder muscle work out. Other variations include holding planks, un-stabilized pushups, and single arm extensions.
Using the FitBar Ab Wheels is simple and convenient. Find a flat surface slightly larger than the intended workout area. It is recommended that you use a pad or pillow at your knee-to-floor contact area. The Ab Wheels can be used on carpet however a hard surface will allow the ab wheel to roll easiest, providing the greatest challenge to your bodyweight workout. You can also perform the ab wheel rollout on your toes for an advanced move.
The benefits of ab wheels include development of core muscles: abdominal, oblique, back and even chest muscles. The shoulder muscles are also engaged in the more advanced moves. It is recommended you start out easy: start with knees on ground and a single arm roll out, or simple straight two-handed rollout, then move to more advanced moves like plank roll outs and pushups.
Our Ab Wheels are fabricated from a US steel core, and utilize a comfortable grip and 4” easy rolling plastic wheels. They are sold in pairs.
