This pull up bar is unique in that it does not damage or mark the trim around the doorway, and it does not require screws / to be screwed into the door frame. This bar has two rubber-coated 1.25” diameter bars for performing pull ups, chin ups, leg raises, and other bodyweight exercises. The 33.5” long top bar is long enough for wide grip pull ups, and it spins providing an added grip challenge. All of the FitBar hooked grip training products, including the FitBar Suspension Straps, are compatible with the FitBar Doorway Pull Up Bar. The top bar makes it one of the highest pull up bars available, so you don’t have to scrunch up your legs when doing pull ups if you are tall. Consider it a tall-person doorway pull up bar.

This bar has been designed to virtually eliminate damage to the door trim. It is used on an open door, with the pull up bars located opposite the door. The lower pull up bar interfaces the door trim via large white rubber coated pads that won’t leave a mark or damage the doorway trim. The back hooks have rubber blocks that sit atop the door trim to distribute the load, ensuring the no marks are left by the pull up bar. This pull up bar bar fits in doorway openings 24” to 34” wide (40”s measured across the trim), up to .88” thick x 3.75” wide trim, and walls 4.5” to 6.5” thick – please see the pictures and diagrams to ensure the bar will fit in your intended doorway. The pull up bar can be adjusted to facilitate installation in wider walls typically found in concrete block-constructed homes.

An exciting feature of this Doorway Pull Up Bar is rugged rubber coating on the bars, so you can do pronated grip (overhand grip) and supinated grip (underhand grip) pull ups. Additionally, the coating is tough enough to be used with all of our hooked products, so you can do neutral grip pull ups and work on your grip strength with the FitBar Neutral Grips, FitBar Pull Up Handles, and the FitBar Minicane Pinch Grips.
